Tegaki!

tegaki tiem
I registered myself an account on Tegaki, it’s a bit like an oekaki board except that you *draw* all your replies. It’s so fun and addicting, since the drawing application is so simple that it’s impossible to stress over ‘making proper art’. It’s picture-blogging, anyway, and a fun way to waste time at school.

Anyone else on Tegaki? My page-> dunn dunn duuuun.

Paperdoll ver.0

A preview of the paperdoll flash toy I’m making at school. I love coming up with new kinds of costumes for it, I’ve got ~14 there now. As sketches, mind you, I’ve still got to draw them properly + do the scripting which I’ll undoubtedly fail at least 100 times.

I also updated WP to 2.5 and it’s being a total ass; can’t upload images and the admin panel tends to freeze my Firefox, so I’ll have to upload everything to photobucket until there’s a proper fix to the problem. Actually, never should have updated at all, the whole posting page is a mess and WE HATES IT.

Medicine Seller, from the anime Mononoke
So, like, I bought a sketchbook. Like, a real BOOK. And I thought I might as well dig up all my old markers, use them up and then throw them away — for good! (after which I’ll go marker crazy again and buy over 9000 just for t3h sniffin’).

And I think I’d like to draw more Mononoke fanart, that series was completely my kind of crack.

I got my graphics card back (it broke about a month ago, thank goodness for good guarantee!) so I could finally plug my big screen back in.. and now my scanner is making really disturbing noises and Photoshop complains about missing monitor profiles and shows all pictures as horribly yellow-ish. Is it just my bad karma that makes all electronics around me fail?

I also found a heap of snapshots from last month’s Manga Workshop at Espoo School of Art. The students were all from 9 to 15 years old, and really talented as you can see! I hope I made these shots anonymous enough :D! (read more…)

I decided to sort my (physical) sketch dump, which lead to finding stuff I had completely lost or forgotten about, so I thought I might as well share some: (read more…)

Oh my

lhasb.jpg My unfinished mage costume designs were actually featured on My Disguises! Now I’m definitely pressured to make that costume. Anyone else interested in doing a classic RPG magic-user group for this summer’s conventions? I think I have a Shaman, already, and I believe I managed to convince a certain amazing makeup artist to help as well. I’m aiming for Ropecon, not sure if I’ll make anything for Animecon — I’m not into anime cosplay anymore, although a Vinland Saga costume would be aaace.

I’m tempted to continue my series of obscure game costumes, though, maybe something from FFXI again.

I also found lots of inspiring links through My Disguises, so I’m feeling super motivated!

Picture unrelated, just a doodle of my LotR Online character.

School’s killing me (quite literally; I ache all over from drawing too much and running around town from one school to another), and the neighbours make it impossible to sleep as there’s this guy who keeps roaring OYOYOYOY DIE U BASTARD all night long (I believe he’s somekinda NERD that plays SHOOTAR GAMES) and the luvbunnies from downstairs who just, well, you know, do that.

So I postponed the grand layout change and all since I just can’t, well, be arsed do that atm because my hands hurt too much. I’m still considering changing the site to kuukieli, but the Finnish translation of WordPress isn’t up to date so I guess I’ll do the language switch later as well (I’d still love to hear your opinions here about the issue! I’m 50/50 myself).

Anyway, to keep you entertained, go see Essi’s new website, it’s got a lovely layout, comics and a sketch diary.
