Delays

School’s killing me (quite literally; I ache all over from drawing too much and running around town from one school to another), and the neighbours make it impossible to sleep as there’s this guy who keeps roaring OYOYOYOY DIE U BASTARD all night long (I believe he’s somekinda NERD that plays SHOOTAR GAMES) and the luvbunnies from downstairs who just, well, you know, do that.

So I postponed the grand layout change and all since I just can’t, well, be arsed do that atm because my hands hurt too much. I’m still considering changing the site to kuukieli, but the Finnish translation of WordPress isn’t up to date so I guess I’ll do the language switch later as well (I’d still love to hear your opinions here about the issue! I’m 50/50 myself).

Anyway, to keep you entertained, go see Essi’s new website, it’s got a lovely layout, comics and a sketch diary.

Ja hei te suomifägärit, kommentoida saa toki aina suomeksikin, ei tätä tankeroenglantia aina jaksa!!1

A question of language

A matter I’ve been giving some thought is whether I should continue writing in (le baed) English, or go back to blabbering in suomi. I like being able to give my international friends a link to some proper page of mine (and not just a stupid DA url, durr hurr), but then again I’ve no idea if any non-Finns even read my blargh. Plz comment.

Should this page be in..

I made my first web page in 2000, bought the domain inversio.net in 2002, switched to missalie.net a year later. Used to html, I always wrote all my code by hand in Notepad. My sites were mostly made by combining basic html pages with php. I’ve tried using Dreamweaver, but so far I haven’t really found any real use for it (as I can write most of the code by heart anyway).

And the domain is called “missä lienet”, not “miss a lie”.

I’ve used WordPress before to make blogs, but this is the first time I’ve actually attempted to create an entire website with it. I’ve become totally tired of manually updating every page through FTP, so it was about time I looked into some proper CMS. So far it’s working like a charm.

I use Illustrator and Photoshop to create layouts and images and WinSCP to upload.

This site is hosted at Puhtek, a company that has probably the best customer service of all the webhotels I’ve experienced.
